Happy New Year + Gifts For Fiction Writers

NappyEweHere-EzraBaranyHappy New Year!

And Gifts for you!

May the coming year be filled with creative time, listening to the creative flow, writing your novel, and plenty of down time to float on the dream clouds of your desires!

GIFTS TO FEED THE NOVELIST SOUL

Over here at Barany land (the Writer’s Fun Zone blog, and all the things brewing on the stove!), and Barany School of Fiction, we have lots of goodies for novelists because we story tellers are here to inspire the world!

I want to bring “Inspire the world!” to you!

For years now, I’ve been wondering what purpose I serve as a novelist, especially as a genre novelist. I have this passion for telling stories in this form, and I’ve felt a bit selfish that I wanted to devote all this time, attention, and resources to it.

Recently I watched the wonderful Ursula Le Guin video (posted on my Facebook page), where she spoke about the job we do as novelists. She said something to the effect of “we dream of the possibilities.” (And a lot more… “…writers who remember freedom…” “…resistance and change often begins with art…”)

I realized that we novelist write about ways life could be, about how to overcome seemingly intractable problems. We write the tales of surmounting. We invite readers to experience their lives in a new way.

We inspire the world.

So Gifts!

Here are some tools I’ve created to help you get inspired and inspire the world — all free!
