Writing Advice from Meg Cabot (on video)

Welcome to the Sunday series of writing advice from famous authors as told through video.

In this 2-minute video, Meg Cabot, of the Princess Diaries fame, reveals how to write a novel: You need a beginning, middle and end. And don’t forget the sitting down and writing part.

I love Meg’s sense of humor, and encouragement. “If I can do it, so can you!” she tells us.

If you have a favorite writing advice video, post it in the comments.

Thanks, and Happy Writing!

  • Great message on starting with the end in mind. I am only familiar with non fiction writing so it was interesting to here how a fiction writer approaches the task. It reminded me of writing a goal or business plan. Always start with the end in mind. I loved how she mixed graphics, text and film in her video.
