Enter this Giveaway to win an Author Coaching session

5-day-writers-motivation-mini-courseIn the spirit of writing conferences — I’ll be in San Antonio near the RWA conference from July 23 to July 26 — and the Christmas in July giveaway I’m doing on my author site, I decided to do a special giveaway for an hour-long Author Coaching session with me from July 22 through July 31st.

One lucky winner with get a 1-hour coaching session with me.

I’ve been coaching authors for 8 years now. In fact, July is my anniversary month. So in honor of that too, I’m gifting this session with me over the phone or Skype. ($297 value)

I specialize in helping genre novelists — those who write romance, fantasy, science fiction, mystery, thrillers, suspense, or any combination of these. I help you get writing, get published and market your books. I also specialize in all the steps you need to take to self-publish. Lastly, I’m deeply interested and passionate about helping authors make friends with their own writing process, how to write when the going gets tough, and how to celebrate every little step they take.

What we can Cover in an Author Coaching Session

Creativity coaching and consulting is meant to support you in your creative process and is not a form of therapy.

As the client, you show up to the process and I show up to hear you, listen to you, and offer support, structure, constructive feedback often in the form of open-ended questions and vision, where needed. I act as a member of your creative support team.

We can discuss:

  • how to get writing again
  • brainstorm ideas for your novel
  • how to decide on the best way to publish
  • what are the best marketing strategies for you
  • how to develop a writing discipline
  • how to plot
  • how to develop characters
  • and more!

We can also do some deep dive change work in our hour together.

— Do you want to be writing your novel, but just aren’t — even though half a manuscript sits on your computer or in your closet?

— Do you feel that what’s in your way of writing or marketing has nothing to do with either, and you’d like to make some changes, but have no idea where to begin?

We can do some work in one of these areas too.

I need all the information I can get on marketing my novels. I can write a good book, and I have a degree in Marketing, but times are changing so fast and my marketing savvy is 30 years old. That does me little to no good in today’s marketing. It was a pleasure meeting the two of you in San Antonio and I look forward to working with you in the future. Sincerely Lyn Austin

  • Beth Barany says:

I look forward to it, too, Lyn! It was so nice meeting you in San Antonio!
