How can we be a better writers? Or maybe you’d like to get re-inspired in your writing.

We can step away from the words and dive into our most primal sense of smell!

When I need to step away from the computer and my writing, I head for either the kitchen or the garden.

I love the smell of nutmeg.nutmeg

What’s your favorite spice?

In the garden, I love the smell of my lavender.

lavenderAnd because my roses don’t have smell, I go down to the Rose Garden to enjoy the heavenly and refreshing smell of roses.

Smell is said to be our most primal sense.

What is the smell of your childhood?

Mine is yellow dock and oak.

What is the smell of your lover?

Irresistible.

What is the smell of freedom?

The earth after it’s rained.
