Solano Stroll Collaborative Poem
For Writing Prompt Saturdays, today, write a collaborative poem like Lael has …
The following poem was written collaboratively by nineteen different visitors to the Write Makes Might/Productive Slumber/Her Jaunty Tune booth run by Lael Gold at the Solano Stroll, September 12, 2010. Each participant contributed a line, and some incorporated chance into the creative process by basing their line’s focus on the roll of a die and its beginning letter on the roll of a Boggle block!
I contributed a line, too. Can you tell which one?!
2010 Solano Stroll Collaborative Poem
a.k.a.
LOVE ATTACK!!!
Tremendous traipsing—a dog on a leash, a child leaning in.
Clouds parting like crowds on the celestial avenue
The sun takes a peak, explores the possibilities
Revelation and relaxation roll over us as we stroll and laugh.
The block grew and overthrew itself.
Flying balloons but not from screaming kids. They used to be tethered to the top of the
Andronico’s food booth (the balloons—not the kids.)
gladiolus, ginger, gestural
Bittersweet summer-end touchstone day
hot, no: now cool, ever changing,
ever turning, never told;
even number’s not what I rolled.
Yea No Go Have a Blast!
This moment is a Dream
Abounding glee and sunny me absorbing every celestial molecule
and sending it back, like a LOVE ATTACK!!!
Faith humor divine
Grant me strength, peace and love within, please heal and send my love
within and then outward.
My colon lives within me and on the typewriter.
As fate would have it, she was late for lunch with her destiny—her inner wench.
It might be the last line, she says!
