I don’t know if you’re like me, but watching all the disasters taking place recently has left me feeling forlorn for the loss of life and property, and less than positive about the future.

The first thing to determine is how you see things. How does your brain work? Some people need everything on paper in a notebook where they can physically touch a page – while others like to store items on the computer. Do you need it to be accessible everywhere? Like in the cloud?
Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. For an author the very first social media channel for your book is Facebook. The second best way to be found (both you and your book) is through Twitter, but Twitter can be overwhelming as well as time consuming. The next best social media channel for authors is Pinterest.
From wanting to know if James Patterson uses a special pen to wondering what kind of perfect program Jon Green has loaded into his computer, we think that if only the specific talisman for good writing is identified, then purchased, possession will make us instantly famous. Except no matter what kind of special pen you own, you still must use it.
Many writers look at me funny when I encourage them to get on Pinterest. They don’t see the connection. They write fiction. How can a picture-oriented site help them grow their audience?
