TWITTER TUESDAY: What I love about Twitter!

Twitter imageWith a little help from my writer friends, I asked them this Tuesday at a little before the end of the day:

Writers! What is the #1 thing you love @ Twitter? The 1st 10 people to post by 11pm PST I will mention you + your tweet verbatim in my post!

I’ve been inspired by Kristen Lamb to do a Twitter Tuesdays series. Today is #3. Though a bit late. I’m inspired by Kristen and her book, We Are Not Alone: The Writer’s Guide to Social Media… as you may have guessed by reading this blog. Check out her book, folks! I’ll also be offering a Social Media for Authors course at the end of March at my online writers community, We Write Books. More news on that soon! Stay posted!

And they said: (in the order in which they wrote me)

Michael Murdock: Speed

Jessa Slade: The real-time flow of biz info. Pub world is notorious for being slow. Twitter balances that. Maybe more matter/antimatter 🙂

Anne Millbrooke: Meeting writers, agents, publishers, and discussing shared interests. #writing

Sarah Robertson: Meeting fellow writers via #amwriting!

Jenny Hansen: I love the immediacy.

Mark Lidstone: the articles I’ve read and discussions I’ve had via twitter have done more for my writing than any school could ever do.

Eric Satchwill: I love that Twitter has connected me to so many people, writers especially, that I never would have known otherwise.

Thanks Twitter writer friends! You’re the best!

If you’re curious to get involved in an online community with serious writers who journal to get to where they want to go in their careers, then check out We Write Books community. Courses coming soon!
