Excerpt:
After the dropped call, Tina tried calling Jane back but was unsuccessful after not having a signal.
“That’s odd, no signal. Something must be wrong with the tower.” She noticed Amy looking up at her with concerned blue eyes. She responded by giving her a comforting smile. “Don’t worry. We’ll try calling Mommy again in a little while.”
Just then, she heard a loud pounding at the door. Tina, not having received Jane’s last worried instructions, began to approach the door. “What the . . . hold on!” she said as she was walking. The pounding stopped and Tina looked through the viewer once she was at the door, but could not see anyone outside. She shrugged and decided to open the door cautiously to further investigate. As she cracked the door slightly, two large henchmen barged in and one of them seized Tina by the wrists.

1. What got you into writing this book in the first place? Tell us a little about the book as you answer the question.
I had just completed my dissertation and was wondering about what to do next. Then, I watched several specials on the Science and Discovery channels about the multiverse theory and became fascinated with the idea or parallel universes and how we could live different lives in each universe. So I began writing a story about a physics graduate student who helps develop a technology for traveling between different universes, or dimensions, and a shady benefactor who desires to use this technology for his own means.
2.What was the most fun thing to do during the writing, producing or marketing of your book?
Coming up with the twists of the story was fun, as was creating my Facebook page for the book, where, along with the book’s information and excerpts, I feature multiverse cartoons and sections for fantasy casting, where I post pictures of actors to play the characters, if the book was ever made into a movie.
3. What are readers saying about your book?
I am getting some mixed reviews. Of course, I am very happy when someone loves the book, but try not to get too disappointed when someone doesn’t; instead, I try to learn something from their criticism that could help me in my future writing.
4. Why did you decide to Indie publish?
I must admit that I was quite naïve and just wanted to get my book out there. It was only after I began marketing did I learn how tough it is for self-published authors.
5. What advice do you have to authors just starting out?
Just write what comes naturally to you and enjoy what you’re doing.
