Healthy Writers Club: Let’s Get Walking

This week I walked more. I’m over my cold. yeah!

I did two 20-minute walking sessions, where I used my cool iPhone app called Seconds Pro (their site: http://www.secondsapp.com/) to stay focused.

I have a dream to do a 5K in the spring, and ideally, I want to run the whole thing. During sprint triathlons I did my best time was 35 minutes, run-jog-walk combo.

Back to this cool app: It pings in intervals so I can do interval training, also known as Fartlek.

And, I finally made it back to Capoiera class at Capoeira Mandinga. Yeah!

NOTE: Updated 10/26/2012: 1:25pm PST: Ack! I wrote this post before I actually did these activities, and in the interest of full disclosure, I didn’t actually do these activities… Instead, I walked Tues, Wed, and Thurs, each day, 18 minutes each, half of each walk uphill. I didn’t make it to capoeira class, though I did talk to the owner about my concerns and plan to go back next week.
