Hello everyone, It’s that time of the year again: It’s time to ENTER THE LITERARY CONTESTS AT THE SAN MATEO COUNTY FAIR!
There are various categories for different types of writing: publisher’s choice novel, genre novel, heroic deed novel, children’s novel or story, short stories, memoirs, essays, poetry, blogs, digital media, and book cover art.
Your entries will be displayed during the County Fair June 11-19, 2016. Winners will receive prizes and will be published in our Carry the Light anthology published by Sand Hill Review Press.

DIVISION 351 – GENRE NOVELIST FIRST CHAPTER CONTEST

HOW TO SUBMIT
Submit chapter one (limited to 3,000 words maximum and must have a title or it’ll be subject to disqualification) of your unpublished novel of any one of these genres: Mystery, Suspense, Thriller, Fantasy, Science Fiction, Speculative Fiction.

Important: No: Romance, Horror, Erotica.
No synopsis or prologue needed or required.

MULTIPLE NOVEL CONTEST ENTRY OPTION: Work may be also submitted to the Division 350 Publisher’s Choice novel chapter contest, but must keep with this contest’s 3,000 word limit (separate entry fee applies).

The 2016 San Mateo County Fair is fast approaching!
The California Writers Club, Peninsula Branch sponsors our Literary Stage at the San Mateo County Fair and they’re hard at work designing the 2016 stage events, which are free with fair entry.
