Shhh. Don&#8217;t tell Beth, at least don&#8217;t tell the part of her that loves her couch.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve started my very own Couch-to-5K program, inspired by <a title=\"The Couch-to-5K \u00ae Running Plan by Josh Clark\" href=\"http:\/\/www.coolrunning.com\/engine\/2\/2_3\/181.shtml\" target=\"_blank\">Josh Clark&#8217;s article on the site, coolrunning.com.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Day #1:<\/strong> Saturday, Oct. 27, I walked around Lake Merritt.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day #2:<\/strong> Monday, Oct. 29, I walked as part of my to and from to a meeting with a colleague in Berkeley. Our meeting was about a cool program we&#8217;re planning to launch next year for writers. Top secret for now!<\/p>\n<p>Day #3: Fri, Nov. 2 {planned}. I&#8217;ll report on it next week.<\/p>\n<p>I still used my cool iPhone app called\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/secondspro\/info\" target=\"_blank\">Seconds Pro<\/a>\u00a0(their site:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.secondsapp.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.secondsapp.com\/<\/a>) to stay focused. So glad I have it. It makes the walking fun.
