Rethinking My Career Path<\/h2>\n

The idea of starting my own business has always been a fleeting thought.<\/p>\n

But feeling stuck in a competitive job market<\/strong>, especially in a country where everyone is vying for the same opportunities, has a way of shifting your mindset.<\/p>\n

Now my thought is, why not?<\/i><\/p>\n

If I could do something I love without worrying about the demands of higher-ups, toxic work environments, or rigid hours, the possibility of running a small business becomes more and more intoxicating.<\/p>\n

Recognizing My Challenges<\/h2>\n

Of course, I know I\u2019m an overthinker.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m also aware that starting a business involves<\/strong> a lot of behind-the-scenes knowledge, and that I could use a little hand-holding when it comes to certain things.<\/p>\n

Finding clients and setting rates have always been my biggest dilemmas.<\/p>\n

Discovering the Creative Entrepreneur Apprenticeship Program<\/h2>\n

But since joining The Creative Entrepreneur Apprenticeship Program<\/strong>, I feel more at ease.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m now in my fourth week of the program<\/strong>, and while there\u2019s a lot of information to take in, I know it\u2019s all meant to help me start and grow my business.<\/p>\n

The structure alternates between weekly lessons and two-hour office hours, where we can ask any questions we have about the material or our progress.<\/p>\n

Learning from Experienced Mentors<\/h2>\n

So far, we\u2019ve covered how to write our bios and how to pitch our services, whether as workshops or as offers to attract more clients.<\/p>\n

The instructors, Beth Barany and Gala Russ<\/strong>, are incredibly hands-on.<\/p>\n

They review our homework through the student forum and provide thoughtful feedback to make sure we understand what we\u2019re doing and how to move toward our goals.<\/p>\n

The program runs for three months, and we meet every Tuesday for two hour sessions, packed with practical information and personalized guidance.<\/p>\n

The Power of Creative Community<\/h2>\n

What makes this program special is the community.<\/p>\n

Everyone is connected by a shared desire<\/strong> to create and grow a business, but we\u2019re also united by something deeper: a genuine wish to help other creatives.<\/p>\n

The creative field doesn\u2019t follow a clear A to point B path, and it\u2019s easy to feel lost or overwhelmed.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s why having mentors and peers who can guide and support each other is so valuable.<\/p>\n

Building My Own Creative Business<\/h2>\n

With my background in administration and scheduling<\/strong>, I\u2019m building a business around helping other creatives manage the practical side of their work.<\/p>\n

As a fantasy writer<\/strong>, I know how important, and sacred creative time is.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a gift to have a team you trust to handle the logistics while you focus on the chaos and magic of imagination.<\/p>\n

Finding Confidence and Purpose<\/h2>\n

Right now, I still feel a bit like I\u2019m underwater, absorbing all these new insights, just because it\u2019s new territory and I lack the confidence.<\/p>\n

But for the first time<\/strong>, I can see the surface getting closer.<\/p>\n

The guidance and patience of my instructors have been invaluable, and I hope to pass on that same sense of support and reassurance to my future clients, who may one day find themselves right where I am now.<\/p>\n
