(Fill in the blank with Facebook or Twitter or blogging or another social media tool.) And that keeps us away from even experimenting.<\/p>\n<p>But actually you just need to get active in the one (or two) venues you enjoy. Because your passion shows through!<\/p>\n<p><strong>How will you know what you like?!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Here&#8217;s the kicker: <\/em>You won&#8217;t know until you actually spend some time on each one. So, you may need to pass through a little discomfort to find that sweet spot.<\/p>\n<p>Just like editing a novel isn&#8217;t easy, but we all do it, and sometimes get help doing it, we must edit if we want our readers to enjoy our well-written story. Right?!<\/p>\n<p>If you just spend some time getting familiar with each medium, then you can make an informed choice about where to spend your time and most importantly, your attention.<\/p>\n<p>Social media for authors is about <strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">connecting<\/span><\/strong> with our readers, potential readers, fans and tribe to draw them closer. We have something to share; they want it!<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s why we&#8217;re doing this. Not just because we&#8217;re chatting and need a break from our novel writing, though there&#8217;s that too!<\/p>\n<p>One of my clients doesn&#8217;t like Facebook because of all those faces! But loves Twitter because it&#8217;s short, to the point, and the faces are minimal.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes what we don&#8217;t like <strong>can<\/strong> be overcome. I didn&#8217;t like that it felt it all took so much time all this social media stuff. But when I realized that I could just come to Facebook or Twitter like I take a coffee break, and actually timed my social media chatting time with my coffee breaks,\u00a0 I found I could fit posting, liking, and tweeting in to my daily life. Cool!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tip! &#8211;&gt;<\/strong> I also use a time sharing tool: <a title=\"Yoono.com\" href=\"http:\/\/yoono.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Yoono.com<\/a> to share on multiple networks at a time.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>What social media do you LIKE and why? <\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Please comment and share!
