As an indie author,<\/strong> I find the writing isn\u2019t quite done unless the manuscript is fully edited.<\/span><\/p>\n

So, how can one do this?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Are we able to do it ourselves or do we hire an editor?<\/span><\/p>\n

When Should You Hire an Editor?<\/b><\/h2>\n

To answer these questions, I would say it\u2019s strictly up to the individual.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, taking the route of hiring an editor can be an excellent one. I recommend doing research to find the right one because some editors don\u2019t come cheap, and it can get quite pricey.<\/span><\/p>\n

Unless you\u2019re rolling in the dough<\/strong>, this isn\u2019t an easy decision, but hiring a professional can take the stress off your shoulders from having to do it on your own.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Nowadays, there are a few editors that will demand little or no money to edit your manuscript, but one would need to be quick on their feet to locate them. Yet, you would have to be careful, because the work from a free editor could be messy.<\/span><\/p>\n

Do It the Hard Way: Self-Editing<\/b><\/h2>\n

There is another option, and it won\u2019t cost a penny: self-editing.<\/span><\/p>\n

The only time I would recommend this is if you\u2019re well versed in more than just the common mistakes.<\/strong><\/p>\n
