Which is fantastic.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Our participating experts and professionals start week one of the Studio or Society focused on their purpose<\/strong>, focused on their how-to book.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By week three, the manuscript has spread like a quilt with so many personal stories, childhood memories, and the latest loves tacked on, the Work in Progress has expanded to the size of a king-size bedspread.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Except all the writer needed was a single baby blanket.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Do You Stop Writing Here?\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All this work is not in vain or wrong.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Crazy, prolific writing is necessary and often healing,<\/strong> definitely life-changing. But not every story will serve the purpose of the current book.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a business or how-to book, you want to create a product that will help promote your business and boost your career.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Non-fiction books can serve as follow up for your lectures<\/strong>, the calling card for your workshops, and proof that yes, you are the expert.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You know this, but it\u2019s hard to let go of your stories, your ideas. But you must.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Review Your Work: Stop Writing Here?\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Review your work.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Have your stories overtaken the advice?\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Have you fallen in love with every story, every experience?\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When you review your work, are there stories and scenes and writing that quite possibly has nothing to do with your purpose? (Just guessing)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>To get your book published,<\/strong> to make it work, those wonderful stories that have little to do with the purpose and theme of the book need to be moved out of this book and saved for another.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stories only vaguely connected to the book\u2019s purpose will just distract from the main event.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Your stories and experiences can be highlighted in your next book.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sometimes these are the very stories that work even better as the subject for a blog or to use in your next lecture.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Challenges When You Don\u2019t Stop Writing\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another challenge with enthusiastically adding story after story, idea after idea to the same manuscript, is that the continual additions are actually preventing you from publishing your book.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>It may not feel that way.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As you reach your page goal, as you close in on your publication date, you may feel increasingly inspired and want to add just <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">one more story<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, one more important tale.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Very gently let me tell you no. Stop.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Continually adding and tweaking a manuscript is a sign of procrastination, and often procrastination is a manifestation of fear.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you postpone publishing because the book isn\u2019t quite perfect &#8212; you never risk criticism or rejection.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>That fear of rejection is reasonable and understandable.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Check in and see if that is what you are doing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A business book will not help your business if it\u2019s never published.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>A how-to book will not help readers if they can\u2019t read it.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your important stories will not help others if they cannot access the stories.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There Is Energy In Finishing And Publishing.\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is energy in finishing and publishing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>The act of completion will open doors and opportunities you hadn\u2019t yet dreamed of.
