It\u2019s funny that our post holiday apology starts with \u201cDid you survive . . . ?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

You did survive the holidays and here we are in January, the land of optimistic resolutions not to be confused with February, the celebration of failed resolutions coupled with too much chocolate, which when you think about it, it\u2019s all that more terrible.<\/span><\/p>\n

And yet, we survive. . .<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As\u00a0 writers, as creatives, we want to do more than survive. We want to live, laugh and improve or feel agency in our lives.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

So instead of resolutions that inevitably begin with losing those 20 pounds, how about journaling for change?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Start with frustrations.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Did you manage to journal during the holidays?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Were you able to spend a few minutes a day writing down what exactly bugs you about your visiting family, children, parents and everyone in-between?\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Beats stuffing, drowning, or yelling out your frustrations. And if you did not manage it. What about now, in fresh January?<\/span><\/p>\n
