It may not be what you think. It’s not about comparing yourself to other writers. It’s not about being miserable and too busy.<\/p>\n

It is about setting aside time to work on your writing and then sitting down and putting your attention on it.<\/p>\n

Do you set aside to write?<\/strong>
\nWhat happens when you sit down to write? Do you sink below the surface of reality into your story?<\/p>\n

One of my students reminded me that we\u2019re channeling when we write.<\/p>\n

Whether or not you believe in channeling, our creativity comes from somewhere.<\/p>\n

I think our creativity comes from the Great Mystery and we craft them into being with our work.<\/p>\n

Do you know where your ideas come from?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wherever my ideas come from, I find writing a magical process.<\/p>\n

Wherever your ideas come from, your job is to show up for this process and put words to page, or take words out\/change words — if you\u2019re editing.<\/p>\n

Even if you\u2019re marketing, it\u2019s all about the words, the ones you chose, the ones you don\u2019t.<\/p>\n
