This review is written by Mary Van Everbroeck, student at <a href=\"http:\/\/baranyschooloffiction.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Barany School of Fiction<\/a> who writes women&#8217;s fiction and nonfiction.<\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p><strong>While the book, <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2FnhMIl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Rework<\/em><\/a>, is not written specifically for author entrepreneurs, it very well could be.<\/strong> The information contained within this book can, and in fact, must be paired with the service or product that we offer, if we want to be successful &#8212; that is, to be able to sustain a living at what we do.<\/p>\n<p>Success is fully realized when we\u2019ve provided a service or product that is of value to others.\u00a0 Creating something we ourselves need or desire to make our life easier, better, or happier is where we start. Mastering the craft we\u2019ve decided to offer others is just one of several ingredients needed to become a successful entrepreneur.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Another facet of attaining success<\/strong> that is just as important as mastering a particular craft is learning to discern how best to utilize the time and energy needed to produce the service or product we wish to share with the world.<\/p>\n<p>The outcome of the decisions we make as to how we expend our time and focus will either carry us forward to entrepreneurial success or trap and paralyze us within a labyrinth, preventing the work we do from ever reaching others. The service or product we believe adds value to others\u2019 lives will not come to fruition.<\/p>\n<h2>The message of <em>Rework<\/em> is that this scenario need not happen.<\/h2>\n<p>As an entrepreneur of both profit and non-profit companies, I am confident that if the authors\u2019 tenets are followed, the hard work, sweat, and intense passion through which we offer our services or products will pay off, and success will be ours.<\/p>\n<p><strong>There is however one more dimension that ultimately seals the deal to reaching success.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>That is developing a healthy respect for and viable working relationship with the process of marketing.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2FnhMIl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Rework<\/em><\/a> was fascinating. Its principles and recommendations were the antithesis of what I expected.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Unorthodox<\/strong>, <strong>creative<\/strong>, and <strong>doable <\/strong>are the words I\u2019d use to best describe this book.<\/p>\n<p>Acting on its principles is challenging, requiring a paradigm shift in the meaning of success and the level of commitment we are willing to make to learn quicker, smarter, less taxing ways to become successful.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Rework<\/em> is in my keeper library<\/strong> and has helped me to re-assess and redefine success for myself at this time in my life.
