\n Clear 39 Degrees<\/strong><\/p>\n

I was out hiking with my wife yesterday on Thanksgiving and everyone was extra nice. I saw families spending time together. It looked like people were actually enjoying themselves.<\/p>\n

It got me thinking about why this type of behavior is reserved for certain days and not others.<\/p>\n

Today though,<\/strong> now that we got all of that “feeling grateful” stuff out of our systems for the year, we’re supposed to go buy things to make us feel better.<\/p>\n

If you take a step or two back, you see a bunch of well trained people all performing the dance as programmed.<\/p>\n

This is an exercise that’s equally as valuable to aim at your business.<\/p>\n

Because if you can get enough perspective to see the unconscious dance YOU’RE performing<\/strong>, then that’s the first step to writing a new one; the one you actually want to dance.<\/p>\n

Do you get paid in advance, or do you do the work, send the invoice and then wait? Do you know why? Even McDonalds doesn’t work that way.<\/p>\n

Do you call clients back at\u00a010PM\u00a0on a\u00a0Saturday\u00a0because they said it was important? Maybe you do, maybe you don’t. It doesn’t matter, really. What matters is that you’re doing things consciously according to how you want to do them.<\/p>\n

Do you allow your prospective clients to get you to do all the free work required to create a project proposal<\/strong>, get your best ideas and then take them somewhere else? Is that really what you want to be doing?<\/p>\n

Your business is a blank canvas. And the most damaging limits to your success, in my opinion, are the ones that you think cannot be removed.<\/p>\n

I do have to warn you. This is a slippery slope. You’re actually playing with fire in this day and age. Because once you start doing this, you’re going to start seeing more and more of the programs that you are running for no good reason.<\/p>\n

And that’s going to bother you enough to change them.<\/strong> And then you’ll see more and change those too. At this point is when other sheeple will start pulling away and calling you crazy. And finally, you’re going to end up thinking, talking and acting a bit like an individual that cannot be controlled.<\/p>\n

And that’s when you actually start living for real. And you’ll stick out like a sore thumb on ALL levels.<\/p>\n

Life is too short to allow yourself to be ruled by anyone.<\/p>\n
