Where did I find the time? How did I find the resources?<\/p>\n<p>So, since she&#8217;s in my Social Networking for Authors class, I gave her an easy-to-follow explanation of what I did. What was missing though was precisely a listing of the resources I draw from.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Today, I&#8217;m instituting a new tradition here at Writer&#8217;s Fun Zone, and will list some of the best resources I&#8217;ve found on book marketing and publishing. Ideally, this will be a weekly post, but nature and the gods may have other ideas. For now, it&#8217;s an idea I&#8217;m rolling with&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>We have to start this list with a cheat: other people&#8217;s round-ups. Hey, I&#8217;m lazy. Besides, why not give a shout out to those who&#8217;ve been doing weekly lists a lot longer than I have?<\/p>\n<p>With one of my perennial favorites, Nathan Bransford&#8217;s Friday post, This Week in Publishing. Why? Because he&#8217;s funny, informative, and at least one of his links out will help your author career. This week&#8217;s wasn&#8217;t posted by the time I posted, so here&#8217;s last week&#8217;s <a title=\"Nathan Bransford, This Week in Publishing\" href=\"http:\/\/blog.nathanbransford.com\/2010\/08\/this-week-in-publishing-82710.html\" target=\"_blank\">This Week in Publishing. <\/a><\/p>\n<p>Next, we have Tony Eldridge&#8217;s Marketing Tips for Authors, his weekly <a title=\"Tony Eldridge's Marketing Tips for Authors, Marketing Tips Around the Net\" href=\"http:\/\/blog.marketingtipsforauthors.com\/2010\/09\/marketing-tips-around-net-september-3rd.html\" target=\"_blank\">Marketing Tips Around the Net<\/a>. Always useful. Always to the point.<\/p>\n<p>From Publishing Perspectives, we have<a title=\"Publishing Perspectives\" href=\"http:\/\/publishingperspectives.com\/2010\/09\/bound-books-vs-e-books-that-is-still-the-question\/\" target=\"_blank\"> an editorial from Canadian author and bookseller, Deborah Willis, discussing the differences between bound books and e-books<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In Our Little Books, Julia M. Lindsey gives a shout out to <a title=\"Our Little Books Publishing\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ourlittlebooks.com\/blog\/2010\/9\/1\/newsworthy-links-in-publishing.html\" target=\"_blank\">newsworthy links in publishing<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Lastly, on publishing, the ever smart and savvy, Mike Shatzkin, in his Idea Logical Blog, <a title=\"Mike Shatzkin, Idea Logical Blog\" href=\"http:\/\/www.idealog.com\/blog\/the-other-comparison-ebook-royalties-versus-ebook-self-publishing\" target=\"_blank\">on ebook royalties versus ebook publishing.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Lastly, on book marketing, Amy Porterfield at the Social Media Examiner on the<a title=\"Amy Porterfield , Social Media Examiner, top 10 facebook pages and why they're successful\" href=\"http:\/\/www.socialmediaexaminer.com\/top-10-facebook-pages\/\" target=\"_blank\"> top 10 Facebook pages and why they&#8217;re successful<\/a>.
