In the last 9 months I’ve been transitioning from a coach who helped all writers to a coach who helps only fiction writers.<\/p>\n

To that end, I launched a new author group coaching program for novelists last fall that ended yesterday. I’m launching my new program for novelists at the start of May<\/a><\/strong>. More on that below.<\/p>\n

I want to pause for a moment and share about the archetype of the Fool<\/strong>, the Zero in the Rider-Waite-Smith tarot deck. I really like how the fool as depicted in this image has extreme confidence as he steps off the cliff, the faithful dog at his heels.<\/p>\n

Many people interpret this card as a scary place to be, and try to move away from “not knowing” as soon as possible. I know I have. But I know as a creative person that this first stage of “not knowing” is so fruitful.<\/p>\n

You’re opening to what’s new, even if you don’t know what this is yet.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

I’m actually at this stage. I’ve just finished a novella that I’m editing and will be published in May. I’m now prepping for my next novella and asking myself questions: who are my main characters? Where will the story be set? What will the main conflict be?<\/p>\n

What questions are you asking about your story? How can you open to what you don’t know yet and have that be okay?<\/strong><\/p>\n
