For the past 15 months, I’ve been lucky enough to share my thoughts on writing, fitness, and the intersection of the two. I’d like to thank Beth Barany once again for giving me a well-traveled web space to talk about writing and fitness with you, and to thank all of you who read. I hope you gained something from one of my columns. If you’ve missed any and want to check them out, you can find the full listing of what I’ve written for Writer’s Fun Zone here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I started blogging about writing and fitness because I found that I felt most complete when I was active both creatively and physically. I know it’s a common challenge for those in sedentary professions, like writing, to find the time and motivation to maintain a regular exercise routine. In fact, the first comment I made to Writer’s Fun Zone was in response to a post about the Healthy Writer’s Club, which seeks to unite writers in finding that balance. I also found that my progress in martial arts and writing dovetailed in some areas. The skills I learned in one would transfer to the other, and when I thought in terms of blending the two, I grew stronger for making that connection.<\/p>\n

I will continue to blog at my own site, faithvanhorne.blogspot.com<\/a>, and to work on new projects. I’ll also continue teaching karate, and sharing what I know about writing. I look forward to connecting more with all of you on my blog, where you can chat with me and see what I’m up to. Good luck, keep writing, and stay healthy!<\/p>\n
