Hello everyone, It’s that time of the year again: It’s time to ENTER THE LITERARY CONTESTS AT THE SAN MATEO COUNTY FAIR!<\/strong><\/p>\n

There are various categories for different types of writing: publisher\u2019s choice novel, genre novel, heroic deed novel, children\u2019s novel or story, short stories, memoirs, essays, poetry, blogs, digital media, and book cover art.<\/p>\n

Your entries will be displayed during the County Fair June 11-19, 2016. Winners will receive prizes and will be published in our Carry the Light anthology published by Sand Hill Review Press.<\/p>\n

Submit\u00a0chapter one<\/strong>\u00a0(limited to 3,000 words maximum and must\u00a0have a title or it\u2019ll be subject to disqualification)\u00a0of your unpublished novel of\u00a0any one of these genres:\u00a0Mystery, Suspense, Thriller, Fantasy, Science Fiction, Speculative Fiction.<\/p>\n

— Must be chapter one of a novel (40,000 words and up) —<\/strong><\/p>\n

Important:<\/strong> No:\u00a0Romance, Horror, Erotica.<\/p>\n

No synopsis or\u00a0prologue <\/strong>needed or required.<\/p>\n
